hmm yeah i don't think it did terribly as a debut but people definitely said things like it was disjointed and pristin would have been more successful if they didn't go down the selfproduced (members + their in house team) route. i would compare it to the reception of kep1er wadada which was also partly credited to shannon LOL it's like... it works but it's mid. we like got worse reception for sure. and the thing is that with pristin v, pledis went the total opposite direction with just buying songs from foreign producers i think because of this issue where the selfproduced tag wasn't helping the way it did for svt
