highlights

(i have seen twice once @ kcon la 2018 and experienced their stage presence/crowd command! i wouldn't say i know/like a majority of their discography but when they have hits they really hit...)

jihyo killed it 100% of the time!! i loved her energy both during performances and during ments and she was extremely expressive. i don't know if the other members were tired from the tour or just introverted but i felt like a lot of them didn't turn on (during songs) until later in the show... or not at all, but i truly never felt that way for jihyo which is a huge testament to her performance skill

dahyun's english ments were so cute ♡ i didn't know she was so good at english but i think she was the star of the ments... not just when speaking in english, but she was the most interactive (asking for reactions, making jokes, coming back on stage at the end of the show to say goodbye again)

i feel crazy because once the show started i suddenly knew sana was my twice bias. the sana hair (messy bun tied up - reference) was sooooo good... and she looked so cute in every outfit!! i did think she was tired unfortunately T___T

their stage outfits are seriously so pretty, i was so impressed. the purple jeweled opening outfits, the feel special princess dresses, the summer act 3 were all beautifulllll

there were so many candy bongs!! i would not have gotten one but they're really pretty and seeing the sea made me think there were a lot of onces there... (i am a twice casual)

the live band!! i do think it would have been nice to hear some of their hits in the original arrangement but i think it's asinine to complain about getting a live band at a live concert

i think the pre-solos ment where jihyo/jeongyeon/nayeon were teasing chaeyoung about her cat hair was hilarious because chaeyoung was like 'i don't want to be cute i want to be sexy' (in english) but her saying that was literally so cute...

i knew there would be solos but i didn't know what all of them were so i enjoyed that element of surprise... i did know nayeon was going to do pop so i was like pls don't save it for last (because it would be anticlimactic) but the joke was on me because the fact that everyone knows and loves pop is what made it so fun for her to perform. about the solos themselves i feel like this is where a lot of members got to shine... like it really felt like they were at their most comfortable? momo's was crazy her stage presence during it was the best and i feel like she got even better after. the concept change in the middle (!!!!!!!!) also i was so confused during jeongyeon's solo when she had the recorder but i didn't hear anything and then she made the peace signs LOL it was very cute that jihyo got her to do it again during the ment and made nayeon wait for her turn. also that weird conversation about the audience being introverted omg... mbti is a curse.

okay so comparing to svt be the sun because it's the most recent arena concert i went to and they're at such similar stages of their careers: bets NA was 21 songs for some reason (2h 40m) and this was 28 songs (2h 30m) but the solos were cut songs... but the title medley was surely long... but seventeen has never ending aju nice so. (other differences: svt does individual member ments at the end (like all 13 members speak) ... also svt does multiple vcrs in between acts and i think twice only had one real vcr and it was very well produced b/c the other transitions were like acoustic/remixed songs) anyway, i felt like twice managed to get so many title songs in their setlist (which again was really nice as a casual listener) where svt only had 9 but i think twice had 10 + 7 in the medley. i do have a lot of fav twice bsides and they didn't do a single one, but that doesn't really bother me i think! the most fun experience was hearing the entire arena sing their hits

i was soooo glad they did alcohol-free... i have come so far from being a hater of this song (which i think truly only lasted for the 30 seconds i first listened to the mv teaser), and doing dtna too was really nice for maximum summer feels considering the weather outside!!!

my biggest complaint is that the pre-show was so boring!! why they weren't playing twice mvs before 7:30 was beyond me... all they used that time for was ssjyp/jypnation/bubble advertisements
