i just want to preface this by saying i have already written a binho post before lmfao. it's now very outdated. and this thread askldjflkdf many things have changed since the binho dynamic of 2016 and it's kind of a wonder i was so obsessed with it both before and after they became Like This.

• jiho said she's the type of person who does the opposite of whatever people tell her to do and this totally checks out

• jiho loves to start shit and is number 1 to tease people or trip them up

• after queendom she got this reputation for being omg's idea bank (she came up with the concept for their destiny cover)
• does not really have a lot of idol friends (she has some but like she's very introverted and doesn't talk about them all that much)
• her older sister is an h.o.t. fan who went into the military
• she really likes to travel
• very blunt actually
• obsessed with clouds

• girl is obsessed with organization. omg went on the strange laundromat vlive show and binnie brought her socks to demonstrate how she organizes them in her drawer by color. they messed up the drawer, jiho stole one of her socks and binnie said "my hands are starting to shake. bring it back."
• she has an older brother and they literally don't keep in contact it's hilarious. except omg did a cooking vlive and she voice called him so that he could help them cook the recipe. it was chaotic bc no one knew what they were doing and he kept doubting her cooking skills and omg said binnie hates loud broadcasts so lol. when you are si dominant and hate losing control
• and her weakness is not being adaptable enough lol

seriously to me it's just the sameage intj x isfj of it all... jiho likes to tease binnie and binnie gets really riled up about it, binnie started out super serious and uptight and unable to read jiho's emotions. they stopped publicly acknowledging each other in 2017 (not literally but they just really didn't interact much) and now they're like "normal" i guess. jiho likes mimi a lot better than binnie anyways (see below). i'm obsessed with people who don't know how to communicate with each other even though the circumstances line up so that they should have been really close </3 that's the appeal of same-aged pairs.

binnie and jiho did an arcade gaming vlive and binnie lost. binnie was so bad at playing the games that jiho had to go easy on her because she was getting upset LOL. as punishment jiho was supposed to get to do her makeup. then a year later they finally did the punishment vlive. in a completely separate occasion jiho sitting next to binnie waiting in anticipation for her to lose by making a noise so she could draw punishment makeup on her face. binnie was doing too good of a job so jiho literally just pushed her hand onto the table so that it would sound and binnie was protesting that jiho shouldve taken the punishment

one kfan posted a signature that binnie and jiho left at a jjajangmyun restaurant proving that they went out to eat together but they never talked about it

binnie describing jiho as 내강외유 (someone who looks tough/strong but is gentle n nice inside) n said it’s because other ppl might look at jiho as chic/arrogant but the jiho that they know is a very warm person

sam if you look at where they are now [2018] jiho is still completely comfortable when it's purely joking around with binnie (see that backstage video recently), but she's also found a lot of emotional stability w/ mimi who absorbs her jokes a lot better and doesn't lash out, to jiho it's a far more comfortable relationship and mimi rly cares a lot about her as well and doesn't tiptoe around the fact that jiho is so emotionally reserved most of the time, like she's very willing to reach through the walls jiho has built around herself either to go in or to pull jiho out. binnie never really achieved that kind of comfort with jiho because of the insecurity that jiho must have always felt with her. that's also the reason why binnie seems to be very wary of jiho and openly talks abt how she can't win jiho over etc because she's again more emotionally honest. i think they just don't "fit" perfectly together, or missed the chance to fit well together because binnie didn't compromise and jiho was at a stage where she was too immature to communicate what she wanted. because of this there's a lot of emotional baggage on both sides that they don't rly know what to do with and will probaby fade away with time. it was this time where binho rly looked dead ASAJSHDK i think they were really avoiding each other because they were just at a loss.

honestly i don't really trust personality database either because the stereotype of all good dancers have se is not good... but i don't know ni or se enough to say. and the comments are so useless! frog was like itzy's tested types actually seem a lot like their actual types but she doesn't know itzy enough to say for sure...

anyway. mbti aside, the point is that the parallels are insane. ryujin is top of itzy hierarchy. but chaeryeong is the same age as ryujin, ryujin frequently teases everyone in this group but chaeryeong is the most likely to snap back at her for it. "literally no ryuryeong moment is real unless chaeryeong hits ryujin at least once" so true.

ryujin is obsessed with lia = jiho is obsessed with mimi. like these girls have their favorites and it is not the other same aged but rather someone who's older and more accepting!!! ryuryeong afraid of being each other's roommates. chaeryeong wearing the model school uniform vs ryujin doing whatever she wants. chaeryeong getting super started when literally anything happens vs ryujin not batting an eyelash.

@/likewaterising my favorite genre of ryuryeong is ryujin telling chaeryeong not to make a mistake or cheat in front of everyone and then doing it herself like ten seconds later

basically 2016 binho had this intense tom and jerry energy where they would banter a lot because they were the same age and could but they can't really fill each other's emotional needs so they aren't that close. i think ryujin discovered lia a lot earlier than jiho discovered mimi so it's like... different. i personally think 2016 binho was a little bit of business relationship and these days omg have little need to fake that kind of stuff. itzy is still at the stage where they have to market their relationships. not to say that ryuj and chaery don't actually have this dynamic but it's like... amplified for consumption? i eat it up anyway!!!

in conclusion this is binnie / chaeryeong and jiho / ryujin respectively. someone please write this for me so i don't have to do it myself. the end
