honestly i think this is going to be a depressing fanacc LOL i had a really good time but i couldn't help but compare it to ode to you, which was already an arena concert. i also went to the first stop of oty (newark) so i didn't really have expectations for it whereas [toronto being the 11th out of 12 NA stops] even though i tried to avoid clips of bets i knew things that were going to happen already and it was just like Oh carbon copy!!! and i feel bad because i really really respect svt's efforts in making each stop fun even though THEY'RE the ones basically experiencing the same thing over and over again. i'm really glad they were able to explore the continent and have fun together aside from the covid scares T___T but anyway this is all a moot point because of

this is the one (1) thing that no one else got and it was an incredible blessing TT_____TT when they came out frog was like "JUN'S HAIR!!!" to me and i was like i already know its plat blond and i hate it.... but then way later i realize it's in a BUN* and that's all we can talk about for the rest of the night and following day. "i wanted to show something i haven't before" jun when you are jun....

*it's in a ponytail but at that point we don't realize and it doesn't actually matter

first of all i am soooooo grateful that i got to see ot13. i have seen ot13 before which is what i was continuously telling myself in the two weeks leading up to the concert and that it would be ok if that wasn't possible. but i really wanted to see jun so i was so stressed.... personally cannot imagine the pain of your bias unexpectedly not attending the concert for health reasons, csc 2020 aside (as this was not unexpected and also i was already on the way out of couprangism... and i had jun of course) T____T

they were so cute... i love that a lot of them learned a lot of english but i still really respect the ones that dont bc tbh the ones who did full english ments said very standard stuff whereas the ones who let the translator do the work were able to convey imo a lot more meaningful sentiments. HOWEVER they can't be kim "i'm fine thank you" mingyu or "i'm your boo" seungkwan :). also who was the member who said thank you for not being crazy at the airport?!??!!

as for who i walked away bias wrecked.... definitely jeonghan! such a beautiful person.... but jun is life... mingyu and coups stood out during shadow/crush :)

also i have to say i really couldn't see them except for on the screen it was suuuch a struggle to pick them apart sometimes, never mind see what they were doing :') but i had a much better view of the crowd, which is nice in some ways... my photos are so useless though LOL

truly S-tier for me were hot / hit / rock with you / _world .... those are all some of my favorite title tracks and they were so fun to see live. i cannot believe they did hot and hit in the same session they are crazy... i'm glad that march wasn't choreo heavy. they didn't do hit full during oty so i was really happy! rock with you is currently my #1 svt song so i loved it... but _world is up there too and seeing JUN CENTER OF THE WORLD was truly so good for my heart.

of the performance unit songs wave and moonwalker are some of my favorites so i'm really glad i got to see them too *___* my soonhuis

and i think that's it for the song highlights of the concert LOL i did enjoy every bit of it, but i don't think this is one of their best setlists.... to me.... see the power of love 2021 setlist here which has rtl, anyone, network love, bittersweet, i wish, home, hit, pinwheel/same dream same mind same night, spider, fear/oh my, beautiful, rock with you, to you, thinkin' about you, all my love.... (and yes bets NA is 21 songs to their 26) aaaaand i know this is because of the concept of the concert but i'm still sad that songs i love like 'bout you and domino off face the sun are not that popular T___T oh well! and also my all time favorite moonwalker remix from in-complete 2021... i know they cannot reuse a remix but why not!!!

i really like come to you but the remix wasn't my fave... and i was so sad their sing-along song of choice was imperfect love because not only is that too new for many people to know, it's a unit song and not even a particularly popular one.... and i felt bad people didn't know the words even given the romanized lyrics (i'm the people). gam3 bo1 was fun but i hate the nfts!!! back it up was very fun.... the mansae skit so cute. i also think... 2 minus 1 was underwhelming.... joshua with the half mic stand... i am much less of a hater of usae/darling/snapshoot than i once was and i can always smile to dino's 웃음이 다야

idk if it's because they brought never ending aju nice back and it lost its shine but moving full aju nice to the middle of the concert and only blasting the neverending "ending" after snapshoot with all those gaps made it feel very dragged out....


notes

ode to you is when i graduated from needing freebies/banners but be the sun is when i said no to merch too... i really love my ode to you hat and honestly if bets merch was as cute as caratland 2021 merch i would have gotten it.... i sort of regret this because part of me was like oh i have such nice merch from previous concerts (caratbong v1 and oty hat) that i don't need it but it's a weird feeling almost like i was stuck in the past. that's capitalism...

this is just me being salty but one of the best parts of this particular concert direction was the synchronized bluetooth caratbongs. which i did know about but i was being cheap and environmentally conscious so i didn't want to buy a v2 and i think if i had known how good it was i would have invested. it really feels ridiculous to have your white light on while the entire arena is in red!

also i did take two pics on my disposable camera during the concert (performance/usae (because i was planning to do the ot13 during a song i don't care about)) but this is the one that i bought in seattle and took back through security in my carry on so i'm still not sure if those photos are going to turn out. we'll see in um.... 2 months when i will theoretically get that one back

oops how did i miss this (i was drowning in ficmix that's how i missed this) but thanks for sharing ur concert exp!! honestly i agree even though this was my first svt show and i do feel spoiled already and shouldn't complain but i didn't loove the setlist, though rock with you and HIT in the year 2022 >>>> glad u had a good time!
